History
Quest Fellowship began in 1905 as a mission of First Baptist Church in Raleigh. It was established as an independent Southern Baptist Church in 1914 under the name Johnson Memorial Baptist Church. The name was changed in 1940 to North Street Baptist Church, and again in 2004 to Glenwood South Fellowship. The most recent name change, to Quest Fellowship, is associated with the move of the church from its location on the corner of North Street and N. Boylan Ave, as well as a comprehensive renovation of the total church organization. The church has made a conscious decision to make an impact in our community, and our efforts are built on the foundation of the work of many faithful disciples of Jesus Christ who have served this ministry in the past.
Affiliations
Quest Fellowship is affiliated on the national level with the Southern Baptist Convention, on the state level with the Baptist State Convention of North Carolina, and on the local level with the Raleigh Baptist Association. We work with these organizations to broaden our reach and to make a greater impact on our world.
